I'm heading west to work with a great group of guys at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The team, four Australians and myself, will run the systems that handle the scoring calculations and results publication for the Freestyle events at Cypress Mountain. Although the games do not start until the 12th, there is much to be done to ready and test systems and procedures in preparing for the first event at the Cypress venue.
There's been quite a lot of preparation and communication for our team and I'm anxious to get to Vancouver and get into the Olympic scene. I'm also real curious to see how the venue crew will handle the challenges presented by the lack of snow at Cypress.
